What one? And why?

Thanks.

glass!!

acrylic, no contest.

- higher strength
- higher resale value
- waaay better clarity than glass
- better insulator than glass
- much lighter in weight
- no silicone that wears out

only downside is that it scratches easily. if youre careful, you can keep an acrylic tank looking new for years

glass
acrylic scrathces way too easily

Depends on what I am housing...

I am a fan of glass. I have a couple scratched up acrylic tanks from multiple instances of one piece of sand getting under a algae scrubber. The most clear and beautiful private tanks I have seen were starfire glass. The most beautiful public tank was acrylic with no signs of scratches.

That being said, when I get a tank bigger than 300 gallons it will be acrylic (or wood with an acrylic window).

Glass. It weighs a ton, but it doesn't scratch that easy. I'd rather have a heavy tank with clear glass, than a light tank with scratched acrylic.
