I love having a tank with me at school and of course back at home. Cant call it a home without a little water splashin around ;)

I love that

- I can sit a watch them all day and still not be bored
- i can show them off to people
- ill always have something to look forward to in the mornings like feeding and gazing lol
- i love that i can talk to other people about my love for loving the lovely fishies
- i love fishes

What do you love about fish keeping??

I love that I can walk into my fish/reptile room and the sound of filters drowns out everything else. Combine that with the fish and it's so relaxing after a day of being around people.

I love dip netting and the Christmas like excitement/anticipation I get with each drag though the water.

My Dad kept fish when he was younger and introduced me to the hobby. I keep pink kissing gourami bc he did and I have a 11 year old Jack Dempsey that he picked out for me. This hobby makes me still feel close to him.

Plus, I love to be able to create a tiny world with some semblance of me in control. lol

I like to buy a fish as a baby, its small and usually not all that attractive. Then watch it as it grows out to be this beautiful creature. Its like a treasure hunt of sorts.

I love playing God with my fish. I determine who gets to breed and who dies and who gets to eat what. It is quite amusing. (:<

I love how calming staring at my fish is, not to mention fishkeeping got me my part time job

[h=2]What do you love about fish keeping??[/h]The people that I have met over the years. Join a tropical fish club, attend fish events, and you'll meet some great people.

I enjoy that when you look into a tank you're seeing a world that you don't get to experience as a human. Both my dogs have huge personalities and its fun watching them interact as a mini-pack but it's not the same since we share the same habitat.
