What do you think about adding a piece of rootwood

This tank is going to be 1 of my P-bass growout tanks (1 of 2 at the moment) I am thinking of adding a piece od rootwood to it, mostly for asthetics. What do you think?

Sounds like a great Idea! Just make sure its fish/aquarium safe.
Post pics when you get it in there!

I know the wood will naturally lower the Ph a little. So that is another consideration. I have a fake piece in the middle right now.
 
I like to keep drift wood in my FX5's to lower the ph. But you can add the wood if you like. I like the fish to have more swimming room then to have obstetrical course's to run through. And plus, they can see the hand that feeds them.
