I can not find many good points about danios (apart from there pretty apearance and long life span)
maybe thats just me though - if you can please tell me what you think about the danio because I have 1 left in my tank - my foolish brat of a cousin bought me four for my birthday as a surprise with out even asking what fish i wanted or could handle - and i waited 2 years for them to die because i couldnt face killing them despite them killing most of my fish and alot of plants
i have on left - the other 3 have thankfully passed away and now im wondering if i should just take it on the chin and kill the bugger before getting new fish or should i leave it be and only get new plants untill it departs from the tank ?

looking for advice as i am a new member of this website and there for have to friends or aquaintences here.

i like them because they're hardy active and very laid back, but my favorites are the more unusual species(D. rerio just isn't all that appealing to me) especially D. choprai.

well i bet theyre fine if you have a tank devoted to them
but theyre not exactly community fish
and thankyou for replying =]

I recomend a more agressive fish to get rid of your danio. I have had dwarf puffers kill my danios and kill snails that came in with my live plants. Two pests killed with one fish!

well thats good
atleast some one is agreeing that they are pests
:) they are abit to boisterous for my tanks :)

okaaaaaay but i dont want puffers !
i could just do a whole tank clean and
accidentally leave it in the transer box :)

Why don't you just give it away? An LFS will take it, if you have a freecycle.org in your area I'm sure you can get rid of it fast.

Get a 10g tank and give it to a kid to start them in the hobby.

Trying to justify killing it because you don't like it and trying to get approval here is not what we are about.

Oh, and change your bio to "you like some fish".
