what do you think about this filtration...?

i was looking into one of the cichlid forum and saw this type of fitration... since i'm setting up my 180 with gravel would this really help? anyone tried it yet? would it be good though? here's the link...

this isn't really filtration. It prevents dead spots at the bottom of the tank. It makes it easier during tank maintence to clean. Basically those jets blow a current in areas where the output of your filter doesnt reach, it stirs up some of the poop and what not at hard to reach places like under bog wood or plants etc.

The only filter here is the sponge (prefilter). This alone will not be enough especially if you have big tanks. Additional filter will be needed in using UGJ.

i like it .. but i dont like the fact that a pump is sitting in the tank...
and if u use very little gravel like me the pipes are easy to see... i like it tho

Its a good way to get the dirt where u want it but in filtration its not good

With other filters it seem like a cool way to stir up the bottom. I might just give it a try on my next setup.
