i don't usually post in here well cause i have no ray's. But i am still have respect and love for most all fish and i am a fishermen my self. When i read this thread it was a shock at what another mfker would do to some rays he had caught from a pier. I am pretty sure that the rays which went to his relative were eaten or something like that since the pic of the crabs shows them being made into food.
Why do you not post in the persons thread rather than try to run them down in your own thread since it is better to talk to someone than about them

But anyway I fish 3 times a week and i have never just hacked up something that I have caught for no reason. If i catch a big turtle or a snake that i do not want to take off the hook, I cut the line. plain and simple. And if you read the thread you would see where I asked the questions about cutting the rays up. And i posted hear to get ray keepers thoughts on this. If you think it is fine to hack the tail off of animals that you catch while fishing thats great. Just not for me. Maybe i am
Just re read the thread again and there is no talk about the rays going to a relative. But there is mention of him not eating the rays. But nice way to pull all of that out of your axx.
Personally im not a fan of fishing at all. Leaving hooks in animals mouths, seeing them bleed for our pleasure, Just not my thing. The animals are often mutilated by those that catch them, or are left gasping for air for a period of time, or until they die. Not something i agree with after seeing how intelligent fish can be in the aquarium at all to be honest.
BUT if the stingrays were killed in a humane way, and THEN the tail was cut off for saftey, i see no problem with this. Not my idea of a fun evening, but for saftey it makes sense. I dont particularly like to see animals i know to be smart suffering, but I dont see any problem if they are dealt with in a decent way and used right after their death.

So you are asking the others their thoughts about the manner in which the stingrays were fished? You posted there already. Is that not enough for you? You are not forced to read one thread or another. If you do not like it, please don't post at all. There is no need to run a similar thread asking for another array of opinions. Closed.
This thread is subjective. You can agree to disagree and still do this in circles. I do not see this coming to a good ending and this is another reason I am closing this. Sorry but per previous situations, we are asking for the original author to defend himself if he catches wind of this thread which per the TOS, the manner in which this thread was created, is considered "trolling".
