What do you think of these lights? ASAP

On a 40b it may work with high light since the tank is so short but you may need to to accommodate the 18" depth.

well, without co2 you don't really want high lighting as it will cause algae. Also, the problem with just getting that LED, is that LED's don't have good spread, so while one spot of your tank will be lite well, the rest will be much darker.

A 40B is a pretty wide tank right? 18" front to back? You really want a light that can illuminate the whole tank if you want to do plants. LED's aren't bad but for the most part the tech isn't as far as it could be and you need multiple fixtures to get the spread unless you're doing a small tank or raising the light a lot.

I'd skip it tbh. Maybe look for PAR data on it, but I'd still probably skip it.

Well, would one work for now to grow some plants?
I was thinking about getting another one in a couple of months, because the tank is wide. And then sometime after that, i will add co2 so i can support plants like baby tears

Honestly, you could try it, but I've learned it's better to start off right than adjust and add more over time.

If you were going co2 though, honestly, I'd get that first, then get better lights. I got good lights first and regret it cause I'm still dealin with algae from that period.

Also, dwarf baby tears suck to grow when you didn't start emersed. I don't recommend that plant unless your doing a brand new tank or have 0 other living things in the tank.
