What do you guys think of this for my 55 gallon?

1.5 caps of flourish a day
pool filter sand
flourish root tabs

Can I run this light as it is? or do I ned to put the tops back on my tank?

No CO2 yet, I found an old welding tank in my garage, I am in the process of piecing a kit together, trying to keep it under $100.

The lids i can put back on, if necessary, I like the look without them....

Here is a new plant im trying to get a carpet out of. according to my man at magic pet shop, I need to keep it trimmed short and it should look to grow laterally.

appreciate the love gentleman.

Those fish in there are placekeepers, this tank will be home to a single serrasalmus maculatus, who I am sure will be having them for lunch someday.

I got a bigass co2 tank and regulator from my boy at the magic pet shop and now I am in business gentleman.

I bought this diffuser, but I think it sucks, pumping about a bubble a second into it, not really liking how it moves through the ladder, waste of twenty bucks imo.

I added the dwarf grass and the wood today, going to leave it like this for a bit, was trying to go dark to light from back to front of the left and on the right side I just wanted a nice low carpet with a taller backdrop. glossostigma all up underneath the wood. as they grow out of the pot I am taking the clippings and planting them arounda nd under the wood. once I get it all growing in thick, I will trim it and hopefully have created a nice attractive look.

Ive got a jardini in there now, with 4 red tailed sharks, an ID shark, betta and 3 mollies. ID shark and Jardini are lame as ****. just my opinion, I am looking for a snakehead, if I cant find one this week I will probably trade the jar for a high fin wolffish or two, and let them clean up the other fish.

I stepped on one of my glass tops while doing this today, man I was ****ing pissed off. Twenty something bucks right down the ****ing drain.

thoughts and suggestions please!

yes, but it is my understanding that the light in this spectrum and intensity will illicit growth. I gotta tell you in the 8 days or so I have had this light, I have seen good things from almost all my plants, ie new shoots and growth.

what do you think jinkz?

That jar might jump out with no lid on it. Not to mention that jardini is going to kill all the other fish in that tank once its gets a little bigger.
