i have guppies i plan of breeding and i have been getting alot of help from all of you guys and gals on here so here another ? for all of you guys do you think i should add driftwood as well as breed grass to my tank for hideing spots for the frys??? and we only have 3 pet stores around me and a wal~mart one of the pet store are just for fish but he jacks his prices up i got one of my guppies from him and paid $7.50 for a male and it died in 2 days and PET CO and a smaller pet shop which pet shop would you use and do you think wal~mart fish are ok or should just look for a pet shop to buy fish from.

Holy run together sentences Batman! J/K....... If you plan to breed guppies............... the more hiding places the better!

If I were you, make sure the petstore can allow refunds or returns. Quarantine any new fish before introducing them in your main tank. Adding more decors isn't a bad idea.

Glad to see your thread...and i am sure you will get lots of info..welcome to MFK... :D:D

the more grass u add the more chance of ur fry surviving...
driftwood is not necessary...just add plants and ur good

The more hiding places the better. Also make sure that you have a filter that won't suck up the fry (sponge filters work great). Guppies are pretty easy to keep and do most of the work themselves. Just keep the water clean and you should have fry in no time. Also, if you want to make sure that the desired males father the fry, you could keep the females in a separate tank if they appear pregnant.
