okay im building a pond 8X4X2ft,,,i think im going to use bulkheads for the overflow then into a sump then a external pump to the tank any suggesttions for what size pipe and what size pump

i was thinking i sump but 2 pumps for better flow....it works out to be the same......so with X2 one inch bulkheads thats 600 gph each so i need 2 600 pgh or lower pumps....

no one what about one pump split into 2 reutrns?

What kind of pond is this ? Above / below ground?

Concrete, wood, vinyl?

Do you have any plans drawn up you can post?

One pump and split the return, and use to create circulation toward overflow / drain.

Dr Joe

.

above ground.... wood insulated....i have plans i wil post

So... Where are these plans? I am sure dr.joe here has gained quite a few #s from all that popcorn ;)

i would def. go with 1 pump split, but i would use larger bulkheads. that way if one gets clogged your ish doesnt overflow. been there had that problem. but had safeguards in place.

thanks guys but i got it figures it out
