Here's my first "real" flowerhorn. (hybird texas don't count) I was told he's a kamfa. His fins are a little "trimmed" but they're healing up fine.

So what do you think? Any potential?

Hmmm.Not sure he's a Kamfa mate.Kamfas dont usually have red eyes (Well here in Thailand anyway).He looks a cutie though and hopefully he will develop well.

He's really pretty now. Too bad he'll probably end up with a giant egg on his head.

Very nice looking fish. Nice colors. Take care of the fish and the fins should definitly heal and grow back. Good luck. Great fish.

Lol, well here in the states we take what we can get. The fish that come from Thailand are AMAZING! Thanks to everyone for the nice comments. I got him in a trade so we'll see how he turns out. I'll keep posting updates!

And he/she needs a name, any suggestions?

Looks like it will be nice and pealy..but im not sure if its a kamfa, looks more like ZZ, wait till his tail and fins come back a bit and update the pics for us please..
If it is a red eye kamfa, thats a great start..
anyway.. goodluck with his recovery, keep us posted..
