I have the opportunity to purchase this fish and need good or bad input. The owner currently has a little bidding war going on him. I like the look of him, but don't want to over pay. Can anyone tell me what strain he is and honest quality opinions.

I think rd as well and I think $50 Is more than fair, I personaly think he looks great in that pic and can only imagine how nice it most look in person.

Nice color but hard kok... Dont expect any bigger of a head on him... Red Dragon for sure and I wouldn't go much past 65 for him.

$50 sounds fair..

it is a zz red dragon. Red dragon is just a type of zz it's not 2 different strains. $50 is a fair price.

Thanks very much for all the input guys! It appears that the owner got a better offer, because he won't return my phone calls. Oh well, somebody other than me paid too much. I just want to find a big male for my empty tank. I want either a classic RD male or a brute of a midas cichlid. Just like their body shape and attitudes. I guess I'll keep checking aquabid.
