ive got a 20 gallon freshwater tank with a 8 inch largemouth bass in it. is my tank to small? also im new to fish tanks so please any tips will help. i also just got a extra 20 gallon tank from a buddy on here so i was thinking of putting shiners in it good or bad idea? thanks

You sir NEED to purchase a massive tank for that bad boy... (i just wiki searched and found that the biggest ever recorded is 29.75") It has a potential to grow that large. BIGGER TANK!!!!!!

Just looking at it should be obvious that you are guilty of animal abuse. The tank is way too small, considering how big bass get you should have a tank in the 100s of gallon range. Has the tank even been cycled?

agreed, it only takes about 2 years for a largemouth bass to grow 8-10" and about 3 years for most to reach 16". at the very minimum you would need a 150 gallon tank, ideally a 250.

thank for the input everyone so knows the good question WTF do i put in it now can a small bluegill survive in this tank? or i want to raise peacock bass to let go in a pond.

honestly man a 20 gallon tank is very small...you could keep some minnows in it if you want to keep natives...dwarf cichlids are very nice or a school of tetras or barbs

so what are the specific dimensions of the tank?
