I have noticed in the polypterus forum there has been a lot mentioning using red quartz with some black in it to bring out polypterus color. I am tempted to try this. Do you guys think the red would go ok with my wide bar silver dollars, African pike and eventual green terror? Otherwise I was just going to go with black sand. Right now the tank is bare. Thanks
