What does hobbyist mean for you?

Just like the title said, what does hobbyist mean for you? does it like "i like it, i can have it, then i'll buy it for my collection" or "i like it, i have to get know more about it" or "i dream it, i love it, i have it, i keep it" or "my hobbyist friend's have it, then i should have it too" ?

I like it, I research it, then I buy it. I enjoy the husbandry of the hobby.

uhm, i like it, its to expensive, I research it and then I buy it even though its to expensive, somtimes I just buy it, depending on the hobby.

Oh, and I also like building stuff. Another excuse to buy more fish.

I like it, research, think about it, research, build something/rebuild something, get it.

I love playing with fish tanks and having tanks in which fish don't fight.
