Keep a very close eye on them. If you see any spots on them, any white spots, start treating for ich. Not saying thats the case, but flashing is a major signal of ich. Could be many other things also. I just went through this myself. That behavior of sliding themselves on the substrate is called "flashing".
Ok thanks, that's the first thing I checked for but no sign of ick..but I'll keep checking...

My datnoid used to do this all the time. And he constantly scratched his muzzle... their was this long scratch that stretched across his entire body. He was an itchy fellah
