What does this mean?

My 4 in male frontosa mpimbwe is suddenly moving all the sand from the side of a large rock in his tank , been doing it all day and moveed a lot , any ideas?

All my Mobas move sand around a lot. I have often thought I had females holding but they were just carry sand around. I think it is just a normal activity. They love to play and dig if you have a sandy substrate.

Interesting , what caught me off guard was that he has been in this tanks for months and this is the 1st time it has hapened. plus he moved a good sized mound of sand.
