I am trying to get an idea on how many people have their ATFs pellet trained. Obviously it is something that I believe most people would like to have done.
So, what is your Tiger Fish eating?
Pellets, if so, what kind?
Frozen food (fish fillets, beef heart, shrimp)
Live

ATFs who eat exclusively live food, do they normally make it to that 10"+ mark where they grow more vertically?

I feed Hikari Jumbo Carnisticks to all of my ATF. I've never had one that refused to break. They get fantastic growth rates on it, too. An average of about an inch a month.

Getting your fish to be very thick is largely an artifact of keeping them in a low current setup. A fish kept in high current will always have a thinner, more hydrodynamic shape. This peculiarity can be observed in populations of wild fish, such as our native basses and salmonids, who live in a flowing river versus those who live in a lake or pond.

Mine eats frozen, massivore and carnivore. It will even pick up the pellets laying on the sand bed!

mine all eat massivore delight as a staple, but will eat shrimp, smelt, krill, silversides, clams, scallops, freeze dried krill and jumbo carnivore sticks as well

Stuck on Rosie's right now. When he gets a bit bigger I will push other foods, but for now I just want him to eat..... It's also awesome watching him take down Rosie's.

As far as live feeding goes, I don't know if I am doing it right.
I tried to pellet train my GATF the past week, so basically he didn't eat for a week.
So this morning I just threw in 20 rosies, I think he ate 1 or 2 of them. Anyway I come back tonight and there is still probably like 17-18 in there. Should I scoop them out or just leave them in there for whenever he gets hungry?
