i am wondering because my friend got one from the same batch as me, and his died. im trying to prevent that from happening to mine. am i suppose to feed it in the dark? any suggestions?
mine often eats whatever his tank mates are eating. he comes out at dinner time. also, i do drop a few veggie wafers in the tank after dark. i think he's getting some. you could also try submerging slices of various veggies. plecos love fresh greens. do a search on this site. pleco feeding info should be available.
zucchini is pretty much the first recommendation for plecos. i'm sure there are other great options, but that's what i've always fed as a treat, along with veggie wafers and whatever else the other tankmates are eating.
Sorry hit the wrong button. Get some NLS sinking pellets with the garlic in there. Feed just after shutting off the lights. He will find them then will start waitng for this stuff.
if you whant to see your L-47 in the day get rid of you tank lights and shield the top of the tank from most of the light
you will see it come out and eat all the time if you do this
i feed mine flake food and shrimp pellets daily and one 1/4 eggplant per week
i feed my food from this guy on aquabid.. he was selling some pleco super food or something like that and all of my mango's love it... they also eat sinking cichlid and sinking massivore...
