What does "You're so gray" mean?

Somebody I know was told they were "so gray" on another forum, (don't know which one, and didn't ask). I told them I'd try to find out but I can't find it any where. They wouldn't tell me context it was used in, so I can't speculate at all. I figured somebody here might know.

Any clues?

It could also mean vague. Meaning never black or white but inbetween, never picking a side.
