Ok around 6am this moring my wife got up for work and was on the computer with all the lights off besides the computer moniter. Suddenly she heard aloud bang. When she looked it was my beutiful black arow laying on it side with a huge gash on its head. She woke me up and man am i pissed. It must of got startled and it jump super hard and hit its head on the glass tops. At the moment its not swimming straight and its tried jumping a few more times afterwards hitting the glass again. What should i do ad salt and has anyone ever had this same problem also how can i avoid this from happening again if it pulls through.

and i think stress coat or something like that says that it helps fish to heal wounds i dont know though

do a 50% water change, crank the heat to 82-85 degrees and add aquarium salt, should heal him up real quick.
was the computer in the same room as the fish?
also try leaving a night light on for the fish. i have to leave a light on for my tank.
