What else should i get

I just recently setup my 55 gallon my oscar ate my bichir so i got rid of the oscar to a friends tank ,
tomorrow i am getting a new bichir

i have a JD that is still semi-small, a female convict about the same size as the JD a silver dollar around the same size a rubber lip pleco a little smaller a gold gourami and a paradise gourami. Tomorrow i will get a sen bichir anything else i could put in that might look cool in the tank.? Im thinking of adding some more plants and maybe some biovines too :-D Please give some suggestions. heres a pic of the tank so far i will post more after the additions.

ANy specific kinds of plants? Any fish suggestions? You think biovines would make a nice addition?

plants with lots of roots and are tough. i'm not sure on this but i read jacks like to dig up plants, and some cichlids take pleasure in eating them.

Well suggest some hardy plants then , its not much help if you dont elaborate just a lil bit.

silver dollars eat plants. anyway, you should either get rid of your lone silver dollar (because it eats plants and because it's a shoaling fish) or get a few more and forget about plants.

If you do want plants, and get rid of the SD, what kind of lighting do you have?

i hope your sen bircher doesn't get eaten by your jd when it gets bigger like the oscar did to your last one.
