I'm looking to put some more CA/SA with my lone oscar in a 125g. Any suggestions one what would be good? I really want a Robertsoni(beautiful fish). Any thing that would go with these two in this tank? Water changes o'plenty so don't be afraid to go heavy on fish suggestions. Give me some outside the box stocking ideas. Will C. Specatbilis work?

Can I do a CA/SA cichlid tank starting with 1 wild oscar? Any CA/SA cichlids you guys would do? The theme of the tank will be a lifelong tank for these fish with driftwood and some anubias plants so only stuff that wouldn't outgrow a 125g.

(No JD or Midas, cichla please thanks)

A Herichthys bocourti, Hypselecara temporalis or a Hoplarchus psittacus perhaps?

True parrot I was thinking too. Choclates are nice but a little more normal than what I'm looking for. But the bocourti look awesome. Good ideas.. :)

bocourti, pearsi, myersi

Again bocourti is awesome. And after looking at those pearsi those are nice.

Thanks for the ideas guys.:)

Sounds just like the set up i am aiming for/have underway. In my 100gal i keep my 7" wild oscar with a 7" Crenicichla Lepidota (female) and a 8"Carpintis that needed rehoming and two appollo sharks as dithers. I have covered over a few big black PVC drain pipes with driftwood and anubias to cut down on aggression/provide territories and so far its working a treat.

I would certainly consider a crenicichla for your tank - great fish with bags of personality.
