I have a 36g bowfront with 2 angels, 2 cupidos, 10 neons, 4 lemon tetras. The tank has play sand and is planted. I'm looking for a middle/top area fish similar in size to a dwarf gourami but not one, never had success with them. Rams are also a massive fail. I stumped, the only thing that comes to mind are keyholes. Any ideas?

By cupidos I'm assuming you mean Biotodoma cupido? If so, I wouldn't add any more tankmates. These are fish that can get to 6" not to mention the adult size of the angels.

They're biotodoma cupidos, I'll have had them 3 years come this summer. One is 2.5" the other is 3.5". The angels are a little more than 4 years old, 4"& 3" just body.

yea you are pretty much full on stock, if you wanna add more suggest you get a bigger tank.
