Hi guys!
Plans are in place for a 12x4x3 asian arowana community tank and i`m after advice on where to get my arowana from. I havent decided yet on which variety to get, probably cos i like them all lol but the main issue is getting them from a farm with a good reputation.
Thanks
Andy

It just depends on what quality and type of Aro that you like.

Even in the UK, a decent Asian is going to cost you big, try the larger dealers like Wharf or BAS in Bolton.

well i definitely want a pair of chilli reds and a pair of golden crossbacks. I'm aware they'll cost loads but i've wanted an asian aro community tank for a while and i'm now ready to take the financial plunge lol

Good luck with the project and the cash injection. Stick around and we'll keep watching.

2 gold XB is average. :) The more gold XB there is the better! :D:headbang2

It really is dependant on quality (i.e. how much cash you're willing to spend). If you want some high-end XB's, I'd say go with a farm like Pang Long or Xien Leng. My opinion, rather than shopping around by farm, why not go to a vendor like Kaiju (he's on this forum under name "Koji") and ask him to pick you out something special. Kaiju hand picks their fish from various farms, so you're guaranteed a) variety and b) quality. I know many people who own Kaiju aro's and are very satisfied.

And, if you ever move to Canada, come see me for aro's :) I'll hook you up!

Cheers,

Brandon

Pm one of these guys to order since it would probably be easier to deal with MFKers and they would probably help you pick out a nice one. ;)

Whoops, got them mixed up! Pang Long has some incredible gold XB, golden helments, etc. Awesome fish.
