i have a general heavy duty all purpose submersible pump in the sump its rated at 1800 gallons per hour. it puts out a good current. iam set up for biological filtration.

125gal has 2 x FX5's and 1 AC110.210 atm has 1 eheim 2262,1 FX5,1 AC110 and 1 cascade 1000 but soon i hope to replace the eheim and cascade with a sump /pump doing 2400 GPH.

on my 180 i have a 405 fluval canister filter, 110 gallon aqua clear filter and a simple 55 gallon top fin filter

My 110 Tall had a AC110 or equivilent over the back on it at the same time as the marineland top of the line canister filter. I imagine you'd do well with two canisters and 1 OTB filter.
