hello mfk members, i have recently bought a 4x2x2 tank, around 430 litres, and i am wondering what filter i should use, i only have around 100 dollars, i was looking at internal filters, which is what i run in a smaller tank and turtle tank, and they do fine, but i have read that they dont get the air to help premote good bacteria?
plus my tank is open top, has no hood, only glass lids, so i dont know if canister have hoses running over the top or not,

i plan on keeping australian natives, eg, eel tail cat, perch, bass, ect..

any info or surgestions would be greatly appriciated :)

internal filter is NOT for ur tank get a canister filter. In socal we got some pretty good ones for around $50 to $60. OR u can make a wet-dry filter yourself (as i'm currently in the process of making one); all u need is a pump or powerhead(same thing), filter media, bio balls or bio rings and your set. if u dont know how to put it together just google wet-dry filter.
