i'm setting up my 100 gal soon and it's going to be stocked with 2 o's 1 fire eel and a couple of bichirs i don't know how to filter this tank my thoughts are either 1 fx5 and 2 eheim 2217 or 1 fx5 and 1 eheim 2080 or 1 fluval fx5 and 1 eheim 2260

I think anything and an FX5 will be fine. The FX5 should handle the tank and the other one is for backup/redundancy.

the piping on the inlet and outlet have bends/arches of around 3-4" anyway but you can increase this by heating a few inches from a flame(lighter should do) and bend it to allow for your rim. my tank has a large rim around it and i still have clearence.

i would like to have 2 canisters as i have naver had any experience with hobs and i cannot find any ac 110's in my area i live in england and i cannot find them in my lfs

i cant have a canister as the tank has a 3-4 inch rim all the way around the tank
i had that problem but the clamps they give you work fine. fx5 all the way and you and your fish will be :grinno:.
