i was thinking of any type of arowana or clownloaches and tinfoil barbs with a flagtail.... are flagtails a schooling fish?to be mixed with my dats and frontosas

Out of all the fish you listed, only the Frontosa's are accustomed to be living in high pH waters. The rest would do great in the 6.6-6.8 range.

i used to have a 125 with 120lbs of fiji pink sand and had 2 dats and 7 fronts in there... now i have a 240gallon tank with 120 lbs of fiji pink sand and a silver arowana and 3 dats and 7 fronts o and a compressorceip/ calvus... not sure which is what... its yellow though... im thinking about throwing in one more golden dat and maybe a jardini... good idea or bad? and adding in 120 more lbs of fiji pink sand...

You would do well to learn a bit of patience. You throw the jardini in there and you're looking at a single specimen tank.
