What fish can work with Oscar cichlid?

many south/central american or botttom feeding fish will get along fine with oscars. just ensure that the standard" make sure neither can fit into the others mouth" happens. as with any cichlid you have to watch that they arent fighting, and things will also depend on the individual personality of the fish you buy
oscars are an extremely versatile fish, and given enough room and food, their generally much happier loathing around than fighting. make sure for one oscar alone, you have a 55g at the minimum, but a 75g would be MUCH better
some basic ideas would be jack dempsey, red devil, black belts, blood parrots, silver dollars, larger polypterus, catfish, jaguars(with caution)......the list is endless.

I agree many other cichlids can work with oscars just watch for aggression and make sure all are around the same size.....Good Luck...
