What fish do you no longer hate?

Obviously this is inspired by the What do you HATE... thread (http://www.monsterfishkeepers.com/f...hat-everybody-else-seems-to-LOVE-in-the-hobby).

Here's the question: What fish did you originally hate but now enjoy?

I used to think flowerhorns with huge nuchal humps look stupid (and I still can't make myself call them koks), but now I think they're kind of bad-ass. As long as the fish can still see.

Goldfish, straight up! Though maybe i never hated them, just was ashamed to admit I loved them.

MEAN fish- I hated all of them.
When I started out, everything had to be peaceful/community.
Aggressive fish have so much interactive personality, now I love them.

Yeah! I used to be sad that plecos were my only real option for algae cleaning in mean predator tanks. Now I'm all about them!

humps, also had oscars in the begining and hated jags... prob prefer jags now.

I wasn't to fond of Bichirs, but now I have 2 tiny Delhezi Bichirs!

Was never fond of Arowana's and Polypterus.. till now <
