hey,

I should be getting another tank soon - 5ft long x 14" width x 24" high.

Any suggestions for some CA/SA cichlids to keep in this kind of tank...?? Would like some breeding activity......

Well I would say first pick if you want breeding or a community, becasue thats too small of a tank to have both comfortably.

Granted its possible, but one of the 2 will suffer.

You could put mild sa/ca cichlids in there, maybe a nicaraguense, severum, green terror (hit and miss with aggression), Jack dempsey, firemouths (all bark, no bite), and maybe some different types of geophagus (You will have to do some research into particular types and see what your LFS has to offer).

You could mix and match those and it should work out well. These are just some common cichlids that you can find almost anywhere.

i would say GTs
and i would be really happy if you would also post updates about it as i want to try an all out GT tank with a 5'x2'x2':D:D

id do FMs and GTs

Go in the LFS, pick fish you like (if they have same water params) and put em all in there !! whatever you think looks coo, just dont get fully grown adults if you want more fish, they seem to get along better in large numbers if they "grow up" together.

I somehow ended up with some kinda blue african in my conict/jd/tx/perch/oscar tank !

Disaster.... I lost the tank.... (yep...it was an ebay tank....) I thought everyone would be poor after christmas and I would be able to out bid them, but I was woefully wrong......!!

On the look out for another tank........
