No koi, different conditions needed to keep them and they don't mix. What's the tank size?

actually, i purchase my koi before i put my flowerhorn in the tank. im afraid that my flowerhorn would hurt my koi so put it in the pond. but it's kinda weird tht she wont chase my guppies in the tank. so, wht else tht she can fit instead of the koi ?

Usual flowerhorn tanks mates I've seen work in the past are vieja and maybe Texas cichlids. But with flowerhorn unpredictability it's really just trial and error. Me thinks it isn't chasing the guppies because its not hungry enough, hasn't been exposed to feeders at all or hasn't decided to eat them yet.

My flowerhorn doesn't pay any attention to catfish but attacked his siblings and any other cichlids I tried raising with him. That's why they're usually kept solo or as a pair, but maybe you could try a smaller catfish species?

okay. but ive seen a lot people put their flowerhorns with a variety of fish in 1 tank and it doesnt seem to a problem. how do they manage to do tht?
fyi, she does ate some silver rasboras. i woke up this morning and found one only the head.

Luck, trial and error or large tanks with a good degree of territory division. And that's a moment snap shot who knows how long it last

I would suggest buying another flowerhorn or texas cichlid. I have had luck in the past by keeping one male and have the other tank mates females.
