The more hardy ones could make it, wouldn't risk any fancy types though.

okay. but ive seen a lot people put their flowerhorns with a variety of fish in 1 tank and it doesnt seem to a problem. how do they manage to do tht?
fyi, she does ate some silver rasboras. i woke up this morning and found one only the head.
It's usually accomplished by overstocking the tank to spread out aggression, but if you decide to go that route be prepared to lose or rehome a lot of fish in the process. Some fh are more tolerant of tankmates than others so it really comes down to individual temperament and tank setup, but IME they look better and are less prone to stress related disease when kept solo. Most plecos should be fine but I wouldn't recommend other cichlids unless they are the opposite gender

im not taking the risk. if tht so, ill leave him alone until i found male for them to breed. thanks a lot though. helps a lot. :D
No problem man, I don't mean to be a downer but fh are unpredictable so it really is all trial and error like mike said. A 130 is more than enough space tho so tankmates are definitely possible, but for me the most rewarding part about raising fh was getting a pair to sucessfully breed so I definitely think finding a male for her is your best option :)

Just try to do it while they're still young and keep a tank divider on hand with a few good hiding spots for the female. You'll also have better luck if the male starts out slightly smaller than the female so she can establish some dominance before spawning, but it already sounds pretty agressive if she chased out that rd lol. Btw... what temperature is your pond kept at? And do u have any pics??

hahah. i put a flowerpot in my tank. she rarely uses them. is it normal ?
its only a mud pond though. ill post some pics later. ill keep in touch. :)
