what fish goes well with flowerhorn?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
This is what I've found in my past experiences. Works for a while then you look at your tank one morning and half your fish's fins are torn up and they're hiding in the top corners of your tank.

I agree with Cali ..Bud. Worked for a while, then one day he went postal on his tankmates. Big hassle moving them out and into other tanks.

My 2cent.

oh . okay. but it seems tht ure flowerhorn doesnt attack other fish. mine is very agressive to other fish. she wants the whole tank to herself.

I've kept Africans(psuedotropheus species) with my red devil who is extremely aggressive and with my flowerhorns also. Give them places to hide, and they will love it. Plus your flowerhorn will stay busy chasing them around. Don't use sharp rocks though. I had more problems with the Africans killing each other then I did with my red devil or flowerhorns doing it. That's how they live in the wild anyway.. I've heard people say that's a bad idea to do that since they need different water parameters, but that's hog wash. Just don't buy wild caught Africans, and they should be fine with neutral Ph, nls would be fine for both types of fish to eat.
