I have a 55 gal. I have an oscar,2 convicts, catfish, earth eater and 2 fish im not sure what they are(all under 4"). Which one of them should i get rid of? I want a frontosa or a jag(both realy small). Or should i get both, will they mix good? :/:confused:

Sounds like you're getting overstocked fast. Honestly you do not need anymore fish for that tanked. The Oscar alone will eventually outgrow a 55gal., convicts are ok, by earth eater I guess you mean plecostomous? That too, if it is a common pleco, will outgrow your tank. In my opinion I would research the two fish you have first to find out what species they are if you truly do not know to find out their needs and specifications.

Just my .02, good luck.

I'd get rid of the oscar, and not add any fish if it was my tank. An Oscar will need closer to a 90 by next year.

get rid of the Oscar, and figure out what your ? ones are. eartheaters are fairly docile so the cons may beat on it if the Oscar doesn't. You have a mix of good sized growing fish and need to get rid of some or get a larger tank as is.

i would lose every fish but the big awesome oscar and not adding any fish and buy a new 55 gal and put the jag in it by itself

A 55 will only fit one big fish, or a couple medium fish. Oscars get too big for a 55, although an eartheater might be okay. Convicts would also be okay. What kind of catfish?

Both jaguars and frontosas will get too big for a 55, so neither.

A frontosa, or Jag would both be too big for a 55 gallon.

Frontosa can get up to 14" in size, and require at least 200 gallons.

A Jaguar can get up to 1.8 feet in length, and require at least 125+ gallons.

I would say keep the convicts, and start over... All the fish you have/want simply get to big for a 55.
