What fish is this?

Today one of my friends friend gave me a fish.. not sure what kind is it all I know he’s name is Lamar lol does anyone know what fish is it n what it eat n how big?? I’m trying to get as much information about this one it looks really nice

African pike but don't know exactly how big they get . As for food can be trained to except pellets and chopped fish like Tilapia.

Lamar....lol. Reminds me of revenge of the needs, anyways!

Typically will get 12-14 inches in most aquariums.

Nice odoe pike.
I found them to be rather easy to get on pellets. First use frozen krill, which they love. Once they attack it the moment it hits the water, sprinkle the occasional Hikari sinking carnivore pellet in. They’ll eat it, too, and you can slowly phase out the krill. Once the piles are bigger you can switch to Massivore.

Mine loved straight up NJ tap water. Acidic and soft.
