what fish should i get?

Well, it's that time again, time for me to get a new fish for my freshwater setup.

The tank is as follows:
38gal
36"x12"x20"
AC110 filter
Plants: Anubias, java fern, crypts
Fish: Blue acara, 4 tetras (colombian and buenos aires, I'm going to restock my tetras when i get my new fish), clown pleco, bristlenose pleco, Chrysichthys cf. nigrodigitatus catfish.

Also- I'm trading in my Chrysichthys cat because he's gonna get waaaay too big for my tank.

So, who's got ideas for my new fish? all sugestions welcome.

I've looked into these, but I've heard that they'll uproot my plants, which I would hate.

ive tried pictus before, but looking back i realized my tank is too small for them.
killies could be a possibility
