What fish should I put in my 1000 gal pond?

Are you in a place that gets cold in the winter? That will make a big difference in your fish selection. If you're in Florida, South Texas or Southern California you can keep tropicals, but elsewhere, at least in the US, you will be limited to temperate species although there are some interesting exotics that thrive in cool water.
Guppies, tons and tons of guppies, ya can never go wrong with guppies lol. In all seriousness tho you should get a handful of medium to large cichlids or even catfish of some kind. As long as it stays under 3ft it should live out it's entire life in luxury.
