I really want to know what species of fish this is. I use to think it was a wolf cichlid but it isn't.
By the way I don't mean the pacu.
Also
i had recently gotten it from a friend, and in about 2 weeks it started acting like it was getting ready to spawn cause it was moving rocks, and plants. It now has eggs in her mouth but idk if it can self fertalize or something since i have no other of the same species. So i wanted to know what it was. I've been looking around on the internet, but so far i had no luck finding it.

Here are The Pics.

looks like some kind of Tilapia maybe?

Looks like a Mozambique tilapia to me

the orange fringing on the fins is a good tell.

OP I will do a quick research google for you

Google it and as I did you will see there is little resemblance. the mosambicus always have pronounced lips. at the size the poster has it should already be forming those lip shapes.

on a closer inspection it may be

Nile tilapia. gets around 2 feet long, the most monster of the tilapia. I would love to have some of these guys in my tank!

Hmm it kind of does look like the Nile one with the reddish outline on the tail

I'm starting to like these fishes, and also they can be kept in cold water temperatures in ponds :D
