Dealing with a massive algae out break (cloudy water). I was wondering if there is a fish that filters the water like the American paddle fish except one that would be aquarium suitable. The problem is being fixed it just got me thinking.

The African arowana is a filter feeding fish but I'm not sure if it would eat the algae that is in the water. The flagtail is not a filter feeder but might scrape algae from different surfaces in the tank.

found a african shrimp but i would want a fish. also the ph range was on the low side for this tank and my water (straight from the tap).

the flagtail will eat algae from the sides and the arowana would eat the fish in this tank.

any others and thanks for the help from the ones above.

I dont know a fish that does that. However for floating algae a UV sterylizer would probably kill it pretty quick.

The Uvsterililipticus Filterononomous will take care of an algae bloom. They are quite handy for this.
 I believe we have a new species of filter fish taxonomicaly classified folks lmao

Ya im still lookin for a good deal on one. Craigslist around here is kinda skimpy on the fish side of things sometimes.
