so i have an empty 75gallon (280lt) that has been empty for some time and im looking at filling it back up so my question is what large peaceful fish could i put in there i already have some geophagus in my 120gallon (450lt) so i don't want more of them so what do you guys suggest that is large and peaceful there maybe some angels in the tank as well

maybe a jag but they are not peaceful. so i would say a small poly or gouramis if you want peaceful.

oh, haha well there are a lot of nice looking, peaceful dwarf cichlids (but hence the name "dwarf") other than that, im not too familiar with other peaceful cichlids. you could try firemouths (6") and convicts (6-7") with small pike cichlids. at least I actually am looking into doing that for my growout tank. just make sure you get 2 firemouths as it brings out their color and confidence.

Large isnt a good idea with a 75

Maybe a group of firemouths or equal would work. I personally like amphilophus lysoni which look like mini trimacs color wise & are usually peaceful. Angel fish peaceful I dont know. Wild chocolate cichlids are nice & you can mix with them with a lot. I like myseri but im not sure on temperament. Coatzacoalcos maybe

Lyonsi would destroy angels. My little guy (3") already attacks the syphon during water changes and has attempted to bite me when moving stuff in the tank. Hypselecara temporalis would be a good choice though

I had angels with my Aequidens metae and it nver bothered them beats the crap out of the silver dollars though
