Land of sun
i really want to know what brings out the blue&green coloration
what ive seen in my cichla is;

subra krill= red underfins
blood woorms= light blue
guppies= lesser overall coloration
Shrimp= light red and reder eyes
hikari gold= ??
goldfish= ??
chicken= ??
beef= ??

what else is there..

IMO, shrimp, whitebait and pellets are the best for colour.. right now im feeding Hikari Food Sticks and whitebait everyother day as a treat..

From what ive heard lately its krill and pellets that enhance color. Im about to start experimenting with fresh cut salmon. Salmon is the main ingredient in alot of color enhancing foods. I also think environment will help too. I think the more natural the environment the more comfortable the fish will be, thus enhancing its natural color. This IMO is why wild fish are so much more vibrant than captive, even in the most ideal conditions.

krill did wonders for my jd, firemouth, and texas. they were really dull when i got them and theyre brilliant colors now but theyre not cichla so idk
