Just wondering what every one feeds and why, I always thought Hikari was pretty good but a few people have mentioned that it is mostly cereal?

The above assumes you add treats like bloodworm, muscle, prawn etc

Just interested in your staple diet food brand and product, too many options on what product for the poll so please reply with more info :)

A varied diet is a good diet, just like how people need different food from the food groups, fish needs different food as well. I feed mine, raw shrimp, bloodworms, nightcrawlers, Hikiri pellets, crickets, superworms, feeder fish...etc....

I've never heard that myself? But i feed Hikari bio gold, hikari staple, NLS Cichlid, Omega One shrimp pellets, Tetra cichlid sticks, Trout chow, bloodworms, flake, and more that i don't remember lol

Heck my Grammodes will even go after sinking wafers, spirulina and algae.

tetra prima, bloodworm, hikari algae wafers, peas and im gonna get some pellets from a discus specialist cos they have good protein and high veg content to give more variety.

Hikari products

Read the ingredients, The first ingredient is typically the number one ingredient and the most in the food. By far NLS wins hands down. There is some other upcoming foods that are getting close as good.
90% what we feed is it. We do supplement some HBH veggy flake & some soft pellets to some fishes. Also hikari frozen to Discus, other SA & salt water.

NLS? Great topic, i wanna feed my fish the best also.
can someone explain what NLS is?

Currently i feed my fish Tetra Min Pro & Blood Worms,..

Hard to beat Omega One. I feed all those foods plus some I posted in a new "dorky" thread.
