WHAT FOOD ????

what should i try to feed my new ornate bichir that i got today i fed some sinking carni pellets but only my senagal ate them what other foods should i try

the same thing you feed the other bichir maybe?
It took a while before mine ate and still it wont eat in front of me, so i just leave a couple extra sinking pellets at the bottom

Sky, or rather supermarket is the limit.

Lots of options, prawns, smelt, tilapia and sliced beef heart are great staples and should be readily accepted.

Mine eats shrimp pellets, market shrimp, massivore, and he LOVES silversides.

I would stick with the pellet as a staple. It's not unusual for a new fish (bottom dwellers especially) to take a few days to settle in and start eating.

^^ i agree.. stick with pellets.. mine started to eat pellets when he noticed the other bichirs eating them.. just keep trying, sooner or later it will get the hint..
