What Gar could this be, please?

Very much south..
Picked 2 of those yesterday...thin as a needle, around 3, 3.5 , inches..ate blodworms ( at least that ...:) )

Could someone identify?

definitely a Lepisosteus genus (as opposed to Atractosteus) gar of some sort, so that narrows down to longnose, shortnose, spotted, and Florida. it seems to be big enough that the snout would (usually) be longer at this point in a longnose, so i would guess shortnose/spotted/Florida.

time will tell as the gar gets bigger, hope that helps--
