What Gar is this?

Hi there, please ID this gar for me please. I was told that this is a long nose gar...i think it is but i want to make sure by asking fellow MFK members..

actually somebody has offer him to me for sale...just want to make sure that it really really is long nose gar...not the 'common' spatula one..common in my area

i don't know how big is his tank for sure but i heard he keep him in 5 ft tank...the long nose is around 17"..never seen him in person yet though...

at 17" the longnose should be pretty stable, and ard a year old. i'd say go for it, but be sure to have a large(width wise as well) tank ready.
