What Gar?

i am wanting to get a gar, cant find too much info. i have got the book jurrasic fish which is good but would like to hear some personal experiences.

my tank is 96"x36"x36" with 2 12" oscars 22" silver aro 12" redtail cat and 2 14" plecs

The bigest problem that I had with my gar was getting him to eat more then just live food. But eventually he got to the point that he would take floating carnivor flakes. So, now he isn't quite as fat...
