It was sold to me under the wrong name, and unfortunately can not find anything but the more black colored Elephant nose Kinifefish. This guy has more brown mottling. I will try to get a better pic. They are going for about $35 at a local shop in Southern California.
Thanks, Shane.

Sternarchorhamphus curvirostris
That is the species I keep seeing but it looks like maybe Platyurosternarchus crypticus instead? I don't have access to view the full description article but found this image of that species...

When I get a better picture of mine, it looks exactly like this, same transparency in fins, pattern, thinness and facial/head structure. While S. curvirostris has a more uniform pattern even on fins and has a taller/thicker body. Notice the dark area in the lower anal fin, while the rest is clear, that is how mine looks.
A google search of Platyurosternarchus crypticus will bring up some articles that require membership to read.

Platyurosternarchus sp. crypticus. Had one before and there are a handful of these guys that have different patterns on the anal fins. Very interesting species. Wouldn't take anything but bloodworms and full prawns!! Yea full prawns. It took him a while to eat but he loves them.

Your fish and the specimen photo are actually P. macrostomus. Pretty uncommon in the aquarium trade.
