Im not sure if there's a thread or forum on here but I tried here and google and didnt find anything. I have tried windex, hot hot water, and just scrubbin the heck out of it. And it still has not came off. Its not alot but just a streak (enough to notice) down the side of tank when I did a w/c and dried.
I have a algae scrapper but dont want to resort to that and scratch the glass on the outside. Any suggestions or home remedy's that worked for you?

white vinegar, may have to do it a few times but unless you dump a bottle of it in your tank it is compleatly fish friendly. not sure exactly how it works but saturate the salt and let it sit. the salt crumbles usually after one or more saturation attempts or sooner depending how bad it is. wipe it off w/ a towel. always used it on my saltwater tanks outsides. and to clean acrylic SW tanks at work.

ok awesome. its for the outside of the tank. Not to worried about the inside cause the trim covers the top of the tank. But ill try it out tonight. Thank you

A razor blade or 1000 grit sand paper and water.

use a rzor blade and vinegar combined. just be sure not to scrape the glass while it is dry. keep it wet with vinegar as this will help break down mineral/calcium deposits

Ok some of these ideas are Whack. Use CLR wet a rag with clr and then soak the salt with the rag. Make sure not to get any in your tank. the Clr will eat the salt fast and make is very easy to clean.

Ok so i will use the razor blades and vinegar tonight let you know in the morning how it worked out..... But i was trying to go for the non-scratching method lol .....steel wool and sand paper lol :grinno:
